The SharePoint User group are part of a wider community; MSCommunities New Zealand.
 
The MS Communities of New Zealand is the collective society of user groups that focus on a broad range of Microsoft technologies. All of these user groups are community run and organised with over 30 user groups focusing on the following technologies:

Who are we? 

 
The SharePoint User Groups are forums for discussion about Microsoft SharePoint technologies. Though our regular monthly meetings we encourage knowledge sharing, personal development and provide an opportunity to see and hear presentations from a range of speakers about Microsoft SharePoint technologies.
 
The organisers, speakers, and members come from a range of companies, backgrounds and experiences so this is truly a community initiative.
 
SharePoint is a big platform – there is so much that can be done with it – so the user groups are an excellent way to see and hear what others are doing and maybe get some ideas on what you can do with it.

Why be involved?

  • An ability to share experiences and learn from others’ experiences
  • An introduction into Microsoft SharePoint technologies, strategies and opportunities
  • A forum for the discussion of problems and identification of possible solutions
  • An opportunity to demonstrate leadership and expertise in Microsoft SharePoint technologies
  • A good networking opportunity to identify key contacts with SharePoint knowledge and experience
  • A sales-free interactive (low pressure) environment
